11.11.2008:
Matthew Marsh made it three wins out of three against rival Rocky Dean as he retained his British super bantamweight title via majority decision at Bethnal Green’s York Hall.

After sharing 32 competitive rounds, this third meeting was surely the toughest test for Marsh as scorecards of 116-113, 116-112 and a dead level 114-114 proved.

The champion was forced to dig deep following a promising early start from Dean, but the 30 year old challenger’s grit and determination ultimately succumbed to Marsh’s speed and sheer work rate down the stretch.
